When designing a skylight, detailing and execution are the most important to us. Everyoneknows that having additional light source has great benefits so we never hesitate to incorporate these into the structure and take advantage of them in our interior concept.
Whether they are in dining room, kitchen or the corridor, they bring the sense of openness and add interest.
In this case we kept the beautifully curved corridor uncluttered. As you walk through it, you can appreciate the shape and focus on the spectacular view that unfolds.
To put an emphasis on the structural beam, we often experiment with different shades of paint on structures. This can add another dimension to otherwise uninteresting ceiling. We also exaggerated the boxing for extractor vent and dressed it with additional light fittings.
Brick wall or supporting iron beam can become a valuable feature when presented correctly.
